Dear Members:

We had 28 members at our February meeting. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, March 9th at Kiernan’s Pub, 66 North Street in Pine Bush at 7:30 pm.

We will be having elections for new officers and Board members. The nominating committee has presented the following list of candidates:  President: Bob Pinckney, Vice President: Ryan Balbach, Secretary: Lori Pinckney, Assistance Secretary: Karen Erickson, Treasurer: Pearl Buckridge.  Board positions:  Gary Thayer, Phil Diefenbach, Darrell Sorace.  I’m waiting to hear back from some members to see if they are going to run again.

** NYSSA raffle tickets are available. Please see Barbara to get some.  Only $5 each.  Tickets and Money will need to be turned in at the April meeting! 
 
** Club Super 50/50 Scholarship Raffle tickets are available – $5 each – See me at the meeting — these tickets are due by the April meeting!  Please send in the stubs if they’ve been mailed to you.

We need to determine a date for Spring Adopt-A-Highway. Does anyone have dates for any Fire Department pancake breakfasts in April?  Please contact me.

Upcoming Events:
SnoFest – Old Forge, NY – 3/11 & 3/12 – check out 2017 models for each manufacturer, purchase next season’s trail pass for $65/sled. Free admission and free parking.

Sno Ridge Hill Climb – 3/12 – Turin, NY – $10 admission for spectators

Snomageddon – Rotterdam, NY – Maple Ski Ridge – 3/12 & 3/13 – Cross Country & Snocross racing Saturday, Hill Climb on Sunday, Vintage Show and Vendors – $12 per person, kids 10 & under free.

Dear Members:

Happy New Year!! We had 24 members at our December meeting.  Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, January 13th at Kiernan’s Pub at 66 North Street in Pine Bush at 7:30pm. If you have not renewed yet, this will be your last newsletter.

The Christmas Party was a great success! Thank you to all those that attended and brought a dish.  Please send me your pictures or post them to our Facebook page!

NYSSA Super Raffle Tickets are still available. These tickets only cost $5 each and there are too many prizes to list.   This raffle is also a fund raiser for our club.  Please pick some up at the January meeting from Barbara, or contact me and we can mail you some!  Don’t forget the club’s Super 50/50 Raffle tickets also; this drawing will be held at our club meeting in April.

A Club Trip has been planned to the Ridgeview Lodge in Lowville, NY for February 5 – 7th. 20 Rooms are reserved under the Club name!  The phone # is 315-376-2252.  I know everyone is concerned about snow conditions, but make your reservations now, you can always cancel.  The cancellation policy is 48 hours.  Once that snow comes, the rooms will book up quick!  Let me know if you plan on attending and the # in your party!

We are anticipating a second Club Trip for the weekend of February 19th – Feb 21st. Hoping for a new location, but waiting and watching for snow!  ALL ideas are welcome!

The NYSSA/ACSA scholarship application is available. There are 2 – $500 scholarships and 2 – $1000 scholarships. The application must be received by February 29, 2016. I will have a few applications available at the next few meetings or get it online at www.nysnowmobiler.com

The NYSSA Annual Forum will be held April 29th – May 1st in Lake Placid, NY.  Early registration is only $50 ($30 pp savings from last year).  Any club member interested in attending the education classes, please let us know as soon as possible.  The Club covers your registration and room!  Check out NYSSA’s website for further details – www.nysnowmobiler.com.

Please remember to save all your gas receipts for gas used in your snowmobile! Either fill out the attached refund application for yourself – or let’s pool all our receipts – hand them in at any meeting.  We are entitled to a refund of $.08/gallon!

If you have any ideas of a place to go riding this winter, please send me the details.

January Newsletter

Dear Members:

Happy New Year!! We had 26 members at our December meeting.  Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, January 8th at the Catholic War Veterans’ on Center Street in Pine Bush at 7:30 pm.  Membership renewals and new memberships will be accepted.  If you have not renewed yet, this will be your last newsletter.

The Christmas Party has been confirmed for Saturday, January 11th at the Shawangunk Fire House on Bruynswick Road in Wallkill starting at 5pm with appetizers; dinner will be served at 6pm. The Club will be providing Italian-themed entrees and non-alcoholic beverages. Feel free to BYOB. Attendees are asked to bring either an appetizer or a dessert. Please note that you must have already renewed your club membership to attend the party.

The trip to the Beeches is fast approaching; January 31- Feb 2.  Call for a reservation: 315-336-1775.  If you plan on attending, please let us know at the meeting; if you are unable to attend the meeting, please call or email me, 914-213-1660.  We’d like to get a head count to organize that buffet dinner.

I’ve attached the For Sale List –for those that receive the newsletter by email.  Otherwise, I will have a hard copy at the January meeting.

I’ve attached the Discount List – had a few more additions!  Please remember to show your card to receive the discount.  Cards will be available at the meeting, if you haven’t already received it.

Received a few ideas for new saying on the back of Club Clothing – Let It Snow, Think Snow or Got Snow!  Any feedback on any of those? let me know.
